CryptoComp — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what data CryptoComp ("the App"), operated by Simple Design LLC ("we", "us"), collects and how we use it. By using the App you agree to this policy and to our Terms of Use.

1. Information we collect

• Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address (used as your login) and a password, which is handled by our authentication provider (AWS Cognito) and is never visible to us in plain text.
• Profile information. Your chosen display handle, an optional avatar color, and — if you set one — a profile photo you select from your device's photo library.
• Simulated activity. Your in-app (play-money) portfolio, simulated trades, scores, and statistics.

2. Photo library

If you choose to set a profile avatar, the App asks permission to access your photo library so you can pick a single image. The image you select is uploaded only to your own account to display as your avatar. We do not access your photos for any other purpose and never share them without your action.

3. Public leaderboards and profiles

The App is a competitive game. Your handle, avatar, simulated scores, profit/loss percentage, and recent simulated trades are uploaded to our servers and displayed publicly to other users on global and division leaderboards and on your discoverable trader profile, so that players can compete and follow one another. Do not use a handle or avatar you wish to keep private. Your email address is never shown publicly.

4. How we use your information

We use the information above to operate the App: to authenticate you, save and sync your portfolio across devices, power competitions and leaderboards, and respond to content reports. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Service providers

We host the App's backend on Amazon Web Services (AWS) (Cognito for authentication, AppSync/DynamoDB for data, S3 for avatar images). Your data is processed and stored on AWS infrastructure on our behalf.

6. Content moderation data

If you report or block another user, we record the report (including the reported account and reason) so we can review and act on objectionable content. See our Terms of Use for our moderation commitments.

7. Account deletion

You can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time from within the App: Profile → Delete account. This removes your account login and the data we hold for it, including your profile, simulated trades, public leaderboard entry, and avatar image. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

8. Children's privacy

The App is intended for users 18 and older. It is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
